If I find it hard to motivate myself to game for numerous reasons, I know that watching my favourite gamers on Twitch will always scratch my gaming itch if I can’t do so myself. I don’t know what it is but there’s something about watching someone playing games which is just as enjoyable for me as actually playing them. With being in my final semester of uni and the pressures of dissertation and my other modules, I find it hard to find any time to play any games because I feel a sense of guilt that the time I would be spending on gaming could be doing uni work instead.

However, I think I’ve found a middle ground where I can enjoy gaming and do my uni work at the same time; watching gaming on Twitch. I can have Twitch on in the background either on my laptop or TV and I can do my uni work and dissertation without feeling guilty of doing one and not the other and vice versa. The gamers I watch in twitch do streams around 2-4 hours which means I can regularly time breaks from uni work and just watch their stream for a little bit before diving back into uni work.

My favourite Twitch gamers that I’m currently watching are Markiplier, Jacksepticeye and The Gamers Joint. I’ve recently been watching Markiplier and Jacksepticeye play GTFO together along with their two other friends Bob and Wade and it’s has been one of the most entertaining things I had watched for a while. GTFO is meant to be a scary game but watching these four play it together just makes it funny to watch because of the way they interact with one another and how they play the game.

I’ve also been watching The Gamers Joint who’s been playing Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind DLC which contains data battles which are advanced battles of all the Organisation 13 fights you have fought before. The Gamers Joint is playing the DLC on critical mode (the hardest difficulty you can play in the Kingdom Hearts series) and seeing him lose over and over again and raging over it is so funny. I really enjoyed watching his streams along with Markiplier and Jacksepticeye.

I really enjoy watching gaming on Twitch and watching my favourite gamers on Twitch; it allows me to enjoy gaming even when I can’t do so myself.
