Play to win but enjoy the fun
Board games have become increasingly popular over the last few years, a growing appetite for face to face games where it allows you to be sociable, have a laugh and enjoy the company. Board games can also be a great icebreaker, a great way to start a conversation and get the evening off on a high!
For me personally, it’s a way to just forget everything that is going on around me and concentrate on having fun. Yes, to some extent board games can be quite frustrating (particularly when you lose, like me- a sore loser) or those that can go on for hours but majority of them are fun.
I came across a game called Hedbanz and I took a liking to it instantly, I knew that it would be something that would be fun and slightly different. I always like games that are good for all ages, which means I can reuse them at a different stage with my kids. When they are old enough not to tell everyone in the room what’s on their head!
Hedbanz is the perfect game to get your brain going into overdrive! It is a quick question game of ‘What am I?’ Each player wears a card in their personal headband and the aim of the game is to try and guess what you are and win! Hedbanz is a game where everyone knows what’s on your card except you! By asking lots of questions you will be able to narrow it down to what or who you are! You will either be an animal, food or an object. The challenge I found was trying to remember what questions I have asked previously! You’re supposed to use the timer, and you only have until that timer runs out to figure out what you arewe chose to leave this part out as there was no way we would have figured it out in time! Instead we decided to take it in turns, if the answer to your question was no then we would move on, if it was a yes then you get another question. The person with the most correct cards at the end wins! It’s as simple as that and it was so much fun!
I would highly recommend playing this, very good to get your brain thinking and a chance to show off your memory skills! This is good for all ages so if you play it as a group everyone can enjoy it!
