Are you an active person?

Do you love to try new things?

Would you like something fun to do with your friends?

I recently went to Clip N’ Climb to try it out and I was not disappointed. I climb on a regular basis anyway, but this was a lot of fun and didn’t matter on ability or age, there was something for everyone.

First of all, you are taken into a room where you will have your harness fitted and a safety briefing where you will watch some short clips. Our instructor was very friendly and helpful which was nice when you may be feeling a little anxious not knowing how the activity is going to go. We then went into the arena and there was so many routes to choose from. I struggled to connect my harness to the belay system the first few times but after a few practices it became easy. The auto belay system feels strange as you have to trust the rope will do its job. Again, after a few tries after climbing up a little way and then letting go of the wall and coming back down I realised I was safe. However, it didn’t stop the butterflies in my tummy every time I had to let go of the wall.

What I really liked about the arena was that each wall had some challenges to complete which made it fun but also last longer so we could try out the wall first but then we could decide we would do challenge 2 for example which may be only use the red circles etc… so it can make the same wall different and interesting.

THE LEAP OF FAITH

One of the extreme challenges at Clip N’ Climb is called the leap of faith and it involves climbing straight up this huge pole and standing on the edge of the platform and literally leaping off in the air to try and grab the punching bag in the air. It was scary but thrilling at the same time, I felt a real buzz when I got down and a sense of achievement as I nearly didn’t try it due to my nerves.

SUMMARY

I would definitely recommend giving it a try it was so much fun and the hour went extremely fast, but it is tiring if you really push yourself, so by the end of the hour I was ready for a nap.

Clip N’ Climb, while most of you might not have heard of this place, you should know it inside and out.

Clip and Climb is a rock-climbing place like no other, the walls are like no other, they are themed and immensely fun. With trials and challenges to mix up the intensity

My personal favourite was probably the steel factory looking wall, reminded me a bit of Ninja Warrior with how you can climb the wall using the sides as well as the flat of the wall.

You can see how this company has been such a success. It helps people to exercise and feel good about themselves in a safe and fun environment like no other, they use a revolutionary auto descender that is safer than having a belayer in my opinion. It’s also much easier to set up and get going.

Alongside the walls they also have a mega slide, it allows you to test your mettle as you get pulled up this slide and release when you feel ready, while it’s safe and fun, it also a huge adrenaline rush.

Also, if you show a student ID on Weekdays you get free pizza! Who doesn’t love free food!

Go have a go, the team there are super friendly and always happy to help.
