The New Year is all about making new resolutions and beginnings, and for me this year, I really want to make some changes to my beauty regime so I thought, why not share them.
Number one for me has got to be regarding my hair. I’ve never really had major issues with my hair, its always been quite healthy and a good length, but over the past year it seems to damage a lot easier than it used to, and it has lost a lot of thickness and volume that I need to get back! Towards the end of 2019 I stopped using heat on my hair completely and I pledge to continue this throughout 2020. I also want to use hair masks more frequently and I need to remember to brush my hair from the bottom up to prevent it breaking!
As well as that, I really need to get better at moisturising. I don’t mean to blow my own trumpet but when it comes to my skincare with my face, I’m great at it, but annoyingly, I’ve realised that it does stop there; I’m not sure why I don’t seem to take care of the rest of my body. 2020 brings the year of taking care of the rest of my body otherwise my future self will definitely regret it.
My last one is a bit of an odd one as a lot of people try to feel more confident without makeup and wear less of it, but I am the complete opposite. Writing this now, I think the last time I wore makeup was nearly three months ago; I’m lazy, I don’t know what I’m doing and I would rather sleep! Whilst this could be considered a good thing, in the New Year I actually want to try and make more of an effort with my appearance and experiment with more products.
