Sometimes, you just need to take a breather, get your head straight before you re-enter the stress of situation. Write it all down. Fill the page with everything running through your mind. Or take a walk, look up every now and then. Remember why you are doing it. Stress is there for a reason. But remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start. Whatever doesn’t get done now, can be done tomorrow. And never forget, that the world will keep turning regardless.

When I’m stressed I often try and find time to listen to music, go for a drive, play my ukulele or game with my pals. These activities help me distract myself from what is worrying me, if the worry is something I need to sort then I get on it immediately to reduce the impact it will have on my day!
It’s so important to find what works for you and helps you calm down or relax in moments of stress or panic. Music is definitely a big help. Don’t listen to anything that might make you feel tense, listen to calmer songs and slightly louder than usual to perhaps help drown everything out. Or maybe, you take more to having a hot shower or bath full of nice smellies so you can unwind. Or, watching something on Netflix or TV can be a big distraction too.
Just stop, I’ve found stopping or even just slowing down helps me to relax, I live a life of filling my time and keeping busy. But once a week I’ll go on a walk. Just out of the blue. It’s a particularly nice road that trails around the small town I live in. The road winds though fields, by trees, through an idillic village yet it wasn’t till I stopped did I notice all of this, I was too busy rushing to notice.
