Japanese Eggshell Cracker
£2.15 – gearbest.com

“A creative cutter helps you get eggshells of perfect shape, which you can use to make creative cuisine.”

I never knew this was a thing until it popped up on my google search and I’m actually pleasantly surprised at the amount of 5 star reviews! Cracking eggs is a bit of a skill and I thought that introducing some sort of gadget would interfere in the process and make it far more complicated than it needs to be but it turns out that this is most welcomed! Lovely job!

Pizza Scissors
£9.99 – prezzybox.com

“We all know how incredibly frustrating it can be trying to slice through pizza with a regular pizza wheel.”

This knife makes pizza cutting a dream. I mean, I’m pretty certain there are already such tools in the market to help with such a task, but hey, none are quite like this!

Avocado Huggers
£6.10 – uncommongoods.com

“A sliver on a taco, a spoonful in a smoothie, or spread on toast: a little avocado goes a long way.”

Avocados have grown in popularity and now you can buy something to keep the uneaten half of
your avocado fresh with this silicone cup. I actually really rate this, mainly because it’s assisting in combating food waste and because it’s designed to fit the food perfectly, meaning it’s storage smart too.

Ducky Pot Cooking Strainer
£9.99 – findmeagift.co.uk

“Have a quacking time cooking with this fabulous ducky pot silicone drainer.”

I think out of all the novelty items in this article, this is the one that I’m most likely to buy. It fits most pots and pans and while straining the water, its beak stops any food escaping out of the pot and down the drain. It’s easy to clean and is both heat-resistant and safe for use in the dishwasher.

Pulke Herb Infuser
£8.26 – amazon.co.uk

“Pronounced ‘pool-kay, which translates from Yiddish to mean chicken leg.”

This chicken leg shaped herb infuser is a good way to add different flavours to your cooking and avoid the inevitable chunks of herbs on your plate. It appears that a chicken leg isn’t the only novelty shape you can find either, as the brand OTOTO also has a chilli or rubber chicken to choose from. Hilarious!
