I’m going to share one of my favourite basic festive looks that you can wear throughout the festive period, whether it be for Christmas or New Year!
For my base, I used the ‘PS Gentle Hydrating Mist’ which creates a nice smooth base for other products, I then used the ‘PS Primer Water’. For foundation, I used the ‘Maybelline Fit Me Foundation’ in the shade 096 and next, I applied the ‘LA Girl Concealer’ in the shade porcelain. I used this for my under eyes and on any blemishes. I then used my ‘Anastasia Loose Powder’ to bake under my eyes to stop any creases.
For contour, I used the ‘PS Cream Contour’ and blended it out with a flat foundation brush, I find that this brush is the best one to use to really buff out the product. I then used the ‘Too Faced Coco Contour’ on top to bronze up my face. Then to finish my base and give me a more natural colour, I used the ‘Revolution Blusher’ on my cheeks and the ‘Revolution Highlighter’ on my cheek bones, eyebrow bones, nose and cupids bow.
For my brows, I used the ‘NYX Brow Pomade’ in the shade medium brown, I then set my brows with the ‘Benefit Gimmie Brow’ which is amazing.
Now onto the lids! I used the ‘Morphe James Charles Eyeshadow Palette’ and I decided to use this one as it has so many Burgundies, deep purples and warm reds which are all really perfect warm festive colours. Firstly, I set my eyes with the same ‘LA Girl Concealer’, paired with a bright white eyeshadow shade to stop any creasing. I then went ahead and used a light burgundy colour on my lid which I then blended outwards towards my brow bone. To deepen my crease, I applied a darker purple which again, I blended out with a fluffy brush. I then darkened my outer corner further with a warm red, which I then blended up into my crease. After I had blended all of my eyeshadow out, I then went in with the ‘NYX Gold Glitter Liquid Eyeshadow’ which I put right from my inner corner up towards the middle of my lid; I then evenly spread this out towards my outer corner so that it blended into my other shadows.
To finish the look I applied my favourite ‘Sosu Lashes’ and I especially love fluffy lashes with this festive look as it takes it to full glam which is perfect for the festive season. A simple nude or bold colour on the lips would also be a great way to finish the look, you could even change the colour up depending on the occasion!
