A bit about it
I first found this book when I was flicking through a magazine and thought I might try it. I knew after the first chapter that I would love this book, and I did. It’s a rom-com about a girl, Audrey, who starts working at a cinema as she loves acting and movies. She meets this boy, Harry, a typical bad boy who she has to work with. Bit by bit she lets her guard down and realises that he isn’t as bad as he acts.
What I thought
I love this book, mainly because I love romance and movies in general – so to have a modern book that combines the two is perfect. I also fell in love with the characters for many different reasons and became quite attached to them towards the end. However, I do feel like some parts were boring and not really needed which sometimes made the story go on a bit. Overall, It Only Happens in the Movies is a great read and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a romance novel.
